Demonetization has, more likely, made people to delay purchase of property in India. This is also true of Thanisandra. However, due to the uncertainty and the current lower demand for properties as a result of demonetization, industry sources believe that the prices could come down for certain segments. The absence of ‘black money’ in real estate transactions is bound to drive prices down in the second sales market and this would be beneficial for investors with legitimate money.
Prices quoted for apartments in Thanisandra stands at INR 5000 psqft on average. Real Estate research analyst believe that the average psqft price for properties in Thanisandra will touch INR 7500 by the year 2020 due to the ease of connectivity to employment areas and the improved physical and social infrastructure. It is expected that 7 million sq ft of office space will be added by then.
